I just wanted to show off the invites that I made for my shower last weekend. Yes, I made my own invites, but only at the hostess' request! She knew that I was looking for practice and it was a great opportunity.
I hated to do the self-protection blur because of how cute the fonts looked together :( Other than that, what do you think? Do any legit graphic designers out there have feedback for me?

You might want to click on it and make it a little bigger for the full effect.
i really love them. good for you. please provide details on how you made them!
ReplyDeleteI think they are super cute! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThey are fabulous! I'd love to hear your details and the printing method you used please!
ReplyDeleteIf it isn't to much trouble - that would be great! I'm trying to print invitations similar to those of CoutureInvito.com but cannot seem to find the perfect printer.
ReplyDeletesusan- it is an hp 5550dn. good luck!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeletewow! those are great!! i love the way you have the addresses on the front of the envelopes
ReplyDeleteNice work on the font choices and sizes - they complement each other well. The only thing that seems off to me is the placement of the cake image. The rest of your invitation is very symmetrical; centered fonts, a symmetrical border. The cake unbalances the symmetry. I would have either put another one on the opposite side or made it small enough to be placed in with the text.
ReplyDeleteBut don't worry - it's still looks great! This is just the nit-picky graphic designer coming out. ;)
a little link love on 122rollcall!
ReplyDelete:)
oooh, pretty! I love them. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the kind words! And thank you for the feedback, abi. I wish I had a better eye for that kind of thing, but I'm having fun learning :)
