speedier thank you notes?

I love a handwritten note, and I enjoy writing them. I think a poorly written thank you is better than a typed one. I still thought FontCapture was kind of a neat idea- particularly for brides. You fill out a template, scan it in and you can create your own font. A little thank you note at the back of your programs, or your signature on the menu, would be more personal than a swirly font. It could work for holiday cards or valentines.

Our scanner is being crabby, so I can't test it out, but here is a sample from the site:

At the very least, it would be fun to make your own font. Would you consider using this for thank you notes?

  1. Im going to test this out! If it looks convincing enough, Id consider it for the extended thank you notes. Immediate family and close friends would still get the tradtional, but this would make my life soooo much easier! We have over 150 thank yous to write. Ugh

  2. I love how handwritten fonts look online - ABCD Design is a great example - but I'm afraid if I started typing thank you notes with a handwritten font, I would completely lose my handwriting! Seriously... computers have ruined my penmanship. Send me back to 2nd grade.

  3. I think this is a cute idea for programs, place cards, or a cheeky shower invitation...but I still think wedding invitation envelopes and thank notes should be hand written.

  4. I think I would consider it.. I also like the idea of making my own font - turn my handwriting in a font I can use. It will still be my handwriting, only I could create digital greetings to my family and friends.
    .. there's an idea :)

  5. I have 3 more thank you notes to write, so right now, this seems like a God-send ... but I do believe in hand-written notes, so I'm not sure I would use it. But, I'd definitely recommend it a client or friend as a way to minimize stress.
